According to the engineering control requirements, for electric butterfly valves, the control function is completed by electric devices. The purpose of using electric butterfly valves is to realize non-manual electrical control or computer control of the opening, closing and adjustment linkage of the valve. The current use of electric devices is not just to save manpower. Due to the large differences in the functions and quality of products from different manufacturers, the selection of electric devices and the selection of matching valves are equally important for the project.
When selecting electric devices, we must determine the control mode of the electric actuator according to the production process control requirements: the control mode of electric actuators is generally divided into two categories: switch type (open-loop control) and adjustment type (closed-loop control).
1. Switch type
Switch type electric actuators generally realize the opening or closing control of the valve. The valve is either in the fully open position or in the fully closed position. This type of valve does not need to control the medium flow.
It is particularly worth mentioning that the switch type electric actuator can also be divided into split structure and integrated structure due to different structural forms. This must be explained when selecting, otherwise it will often conflict with the control system during on-site installation.
2. Regulating type
The regulating type electric actuator not only has a switch type integrated structure to regulate the medium flow. It can also control the valve. Parameters that need to be noted when selecting the regulating type electric actuator.
